- I love the fact that when I bought that painting from Russia, you went through so much trouble to get it here.
- I love how we used to go antique and junk shopping (back when we had less junk). You were a great antiquing buddy.
- I cherish the memory of our hikes and camping trips.
- I love that you love art.
- I cherish the memory of the first CD you ever bought me: "Train," with the song "Meet Virginia."
- I love our conversations. You know how to make me think.
- I LOVED the time we went to Artisanal in NY and ate, drank, laughed, and bought that stranger his meal. It was a random act of kindness that I will never forget.
- I love that when I went on the vegan diet, you went with me.
- I love when you stopped and got that heavy boulder I wanted on the side on road in Wintergreen, even though it really weighed down the car.
- I love that you would buy me the best pair of shoes in the store without me even saying I wanted a pair.
- I love your different laughs: the sarcastic laugh, the Abby laugh, the flat out funny laugh.
- I love your feet, no one in the world has your unique feet.
- I love to play cards and other games with you. You're fun.
- I love to ride in the car with you no matter where we're going. I don't know why....
- I loved the time we cleaned out the garage and put the stuff in the truck bed and you jumped on it to mash it down and nearly busted it. We laughed so hard.
- I love how you organize things, like your garage.
- I cherish the fact that when I gave you a photo album for your birthday, you took the time to look at it in detail, even though we had several guests. It made me feel special.
- I appreciate the times you've helped me with my projects, like the time I was redoing Tiffany's laundry room, and you helped me build shelves.
- I appreciate the times you've helped me with yard sales, even though I know it's not your thing.
- I appreciate the time you picked up that awful $10 sofa for me at the thrift store and helped me staple the upholstery.
- I'm thankful for all the canvases you've built for me and helped me stretch.
- I'm thankful that you shopped with me for my piano, and you were so supportive during the process.
- I love how you hug me when I'm not expecting it.
- I cherish the roses you've brought me from the garden. I also love that you grow roses.
- I love that you rescued that rosemary bush from our neighbors's yard. You could not see it go to waste.
- I appreciate how you negotiate, like the time we were staying at the Waldorf in Manhattan, and they gave us a really crummy room, and you so politely asked for a better room, and they upgraded us.
- I loved walking with you in the snow in Central Park. What a magical day.
- I appreciate your endurance, like the time you made us get out of bed to see "O" in Vegas though we were miserably sick. Can you image if we had skipped that?
- I love that you taught me to play "craps" the first time we went to Vegas. I felt worldly.
- I love that you love me.
- I love how you always let me get the Christmas tree I want, even though you know they're too big.
- I love that you are social and environmentally conscious. It may seem like a silly thing to love, but I think it speaks to your character.
- I appreciate that you can be in any sort of crowd and fit it. It doesn't matter if they're wealthy or poor ... you seem to find what you have in common with everyone.
- I appreciate how you've learned to use all of the electronics like clickers, ipods, etc.
- I love the way you smell. You smell like home.
- I love your voice. I often save your messages on my phone so I can listen to them again and again.
- I love that you're not always hung up on "the rules."
- I cherish the memory of insulating the house together. Yes, it was terrible, but you stayed with me and cut insulation as fast as humanly possible to get it done.
- I appreciate that you fix things for other people with your wealth of tools and knowledge.
- I appreciate that you understand finances.
- I appreciate that you keep up with the bills and the taxes, even though I know you don't enjoy it.
- I love to listen to music with you. I love that you love music.
- I appreciate the fact that you keep up with the yard: the mowing and edging.
- I appreciate the times you drove me to work, so I wouldn't have to walk in the dark and cold.
- I appreciate the many times you have taken me out for coffee, even though it's not your favorite beverage.
- I love the way you look in a suit.
- I cherish the many lessons you've taught me. It doesn't matter what the subject. You're a good teacher.
- I love that you're a learner. You love to learn about so many different things. And I'm always interested to hear about what you're learning.
- I love you for rebuilding the front porch with my dad. I know it wasn't easy.
- I love you for shopping for cosmetics and other feminine things with me, though I'm sure you had better things to do.
