Topics: Jesus/women in the Bible/Men in the Bible/Name all Mary's in the Bible/Locations in the Bible/ books of the bible/Old Testimant/ New testimants and then come up with some of your own categories.
Serve hor d'oeuvres and egg nog and have a great time.
Christmas Pyramid: Editor's Notes
We did some research on the Pyramid Game, a popular TV game show that began in the 70s.
Here's how you can modify it to play at your party:
For a very easy version of this Christmas party game simply create cards with single words or phrases having to do with Christmas such as: Mary, Jesus, Christmas Tree, Santa, Reindeer, Stockings, Hot Chocolate, Christmas Eve, Gifts, Wise Men, Shepards, candy canes, etc.
Divide players into two teams of two. Give each team six cards face down. One card at a time, one team member describes the word on the card (without saying the actual word) while the other team mate attempts to guess the word written on the card.
Whichever team reaches 6 correct answers first wins.
For a more challenging game create two teams of two people and a list of questions for 6 different categories. The questions can be written on notecards or you can use trivia cards from a boxed trivia set (much easier).
Give notecards/trivia cards to one member of each team. Place them facedown in front of one player.
The object is for one player to ask the question and the other player to answer as quickly as possible. Whichever team gets one question from each category correct in a given amount of time, say 1 minute, wins the round.
To play at a party, you'll need to have several rounds of the game to give everyone a chance to play. Have the winners of each round play a "face-off' round.
