This party game is for couples and could be played at a very casual bridal shower party or engagement party. The relay race consists of three activities. All the activities require fun-loving men with a good sense of humor!
Here's what you'll need to play the relay race game: shaving cream and spoon for each couple, lipstick for each couple, a neck tie (preferably not a nice one), and a blindfold for each lady. You may want to include a bib for each guy and paper towels for each couple. Begin by assigning a referee who will tell the couples when to start and will also declare a winner. If you provide bibs, the men will put these on. Then they sit in chairs. The ladies stand in front of the men, facing them, with the items needed for the relay race placed at their feet. Each lady puts on a blindfold. When everyone is ready, the race begins. The ladies lather the men's faces with shaving cream and shave them with a spoon. Next the ladies must grab their neckties, and as best possible, tie them around the men's necks in an appropriate necktie knot or bow (for bowties). Finally, the relay race is capped off with a kiss. Each lady puts on lipstick and kisses her man on the face creating a visible lip print. The first woman to complete all the tasks, according to the referee, will be declared the winner.
"Where's my mate" is one of the funniest ice breaker games out there. To play, write the name of one person in a famous couple on a nametag and the other person who belongs to that couple on a different nametag. Examples of famous couples are: "Romeo and Juliet," "Barbie and Ken," "John and Jackie Kennedy," and "Brad and Angelina." Create a nametag for each guest who will be attending. When guests arrive put a nametag on the back of their right shoulder. Make sure they do not know the name on the tag. Guests must guess whose name is placed on their back by asking questions such as, "Am I a woman?" "When did I live?" "Am I fictional?" etc. Once they find out who they are they look for their mate. The game ends when each person has found his or her mate.
What a fun wedding shower game for guests! Purchase a few inexpensive but fun gifts such as hand lotion, scented candles, gift certificates, etc. Wrap them nicely. Set a timer to a random setting say, 3 or 4 minutes. When the bride is opening gifts, if the timer goes off when the gift is being opened, the guest who brought that gift receives a gift. Reset the timer and continue the game until all of the prizes are given.
This is a lovely game that is very meaningful for the bride and wonderful for brides who keep a wedding scrapbook. Send out note cards on nice cardstock with your shower invitations. Ask each guest to write a memory that he or she shared with the bride. At the shower the bride reads each memory aloud and tries to guess who wrote the memory. Then the bride can add these note cards to the wedding scrapbook, along with her dress swatch, invitations, and other sentimental wedding memorabilia.
This wedding shower game is really funny. Purchase several new tube socks. Place one fun item having to do with weddings or honeymoons into each sock. Items may include sunglasses, sunscreen, a condom, a seashell, a map, etc. Tie the tops of the socks. To play the game have each guest try to guess what is in the sock. The trick? They have to feel the sock with their feet only! Each guest writes their guesses on a sheet of paper. The guest with the most correct answers wins. |
