Halloween Decorating Ideas
Frightful and fun, Halloween decorating ideas are on every one of our Halloween party themes!
Dana Goldman of Jackson, Mississippi shares some of her terrific and unique Halloween party ideas and decorations. Start with a really fun Halloween invitation. Tombstone Halloween Party Invitation IdeaSend an small handmade RIP headstone with the each guest's epitaph on the front. Use a small piece of styrofoam board for each invitation. You can purchase styrofoam board from craft stores. Cut them into tombstone shapes.Create the wording and invitation information for your tombstone on your computer. That way you can use a font that looks like it carved in stone. Print it out and attach it to the tombstone. Be a poet make it your invitation rhyme: Jennifer lies here, let's toast her with beer. And party Halloween Night, with an evening of fright! Include the date time and location of the party. Place the party time and date in the place you'd find the years one lived on the headstone. This submission was an entry in one of our fun monthly contests.

First, it's a fun way to start off the party. And, cars can be parked in an orderly fashion down the road, not in your neighbors flower garden.Get with a few of your neighbors to request the use of their driveways for parking; some may be more than willing to keep from having their yards destroyed. Have a mini haunted corridor going down your sidewalk. You can construct it out of black painted plywood or even inexpensive particle board. Make it very dark with a light at the end. Along the way place fans and black plastic strips. Animated Spiders, and goblins on a sensor are a great start. Maybe someone dressed up to scare them at the end. Creativity is key!
Halloween Decorating Ideas for Every Room in the House!Dana Goldman suggests Halloween decorating ideas for every room. AND, there are more Halloween decorating ideas on the Haunted House Decorating Ideas page!Use your entire house to entertain and break each room into different Halloween themes. For example, have Ghoulish Karaoke in the living room with dim lights and a disco ball. Push the furniture to the wall so your guests can dance. Have another room decorated like a fortune telling tent. You could even hire a medium to come in and read a fortune for your guests. Use a different theme in your dining room and kitchen. For example, you could decorate with a pirate ship theme. Or maybe have a pirate ship in the center of the table. Have a feast on the table, not to exclude the giant turkey legs and goblet style drinking cups! You can even have treasure spread around as table decorations. Add to the Pirate theme by hiring a bartender and dressing him like a pirate with servers dressed as serving winches. If you cant afford to hire attendants then strike up a deal with another friend or coworker who likes to entertain. If they will serve at your party, then you will be their attendant at their next event. Use someone who you don't usually party with. Next, transform your backyard into an eerie graveyard. You can make tombstones out of foam or plywood and gray paint. Rent a fog machine. Have a few tinted lights in the corners for eeriness. If its cold you can set up a fire pit but be sure to have a table close by with all the supplies for your guests to roast marshmallows and make smores! You can even decorate your bathrooms. Replace your bulbs with tinted lights. Create some cobwebs and maybe have a scary story recorded and playing on a continuous loop. If you have a tub you can turn it into a coffin with a fake body lying inside. They'll even be entertained while using the potty! You can have additional entertainment by hiring a creepy magician to work the crowd and wow your guests. At the end of the evening you can give your guests a goulash parting gift. Halloween party favors could include homemade candies in the shapes of spiders or ghosts or maybe even some witches fingers made from cheese straws It will be a night to remember from beginning to end Editor's Note: Thank you Dana for sharing your fantastic Halloween party ideas! This Halloween party sounds great...maybe we'll get an invite!
