Your guests could bring their old costumes in boxes or bags labeled with a size (and if you want to surprise, without a label), and you're ready to get started with some Halloween costume games.
Halloween Dress Up Games: Halloween Dress Up Relay RaceFor a dress up relay race, have two teams stand in lines. Place the items to be worn at on end of the line. For the first step of the relay, the first person in line dresses the second person in the line.The last person in line then runs to the first of the line and dresses the first person to complete the relay. Individuals can also stand in circles to make this easier (or not to make it more challenging). The trick? The person being dressed cannot use their hands to dress. But once they are dressed, they can use their hands to undress. Then they'll take their clothes and dress the next person in line. This works well if the items are a relatively larger size and will not be too terribly tight on any person. As a more challenging variation, a series of outfits can be involved, one after the other. The winning team is the one who finishes dressing and undressing in the costumes provided.

Anyone who arrives to your party without a costume could fall victim. The costume-less guest must put his or her name into a hat. Divide all other guests into 4 or 5 groups and select 4 or 5 names from those without costumes. Allow each team to select one of the boxes. Keep the game fast moving. Give each team a short amount of time to create a costume, say five minutes. Blow a whistle to start, have guests cheer on participants, and blow the whistle to stop promptly after five minutes. The time limit really gets the creative juices flowing. Victims of the costume craze must wear their costumes for the rest of the night!
