Halloween Kids Games: Halloween Pinata PartyWhat could be better than a pinata filled with Halloween treats? The moment the pinata bursts, candy flies through the air and children scramble for the goodies.
To play the pinata game, blindfold each child when it's his or her turn. Hand the child a stick, and tap the stick on the pinata so the player knows where to strike. No one wants the pinata to break on the first child's turn. There's an easy way to ensure this doesn't happen. Instead of just tying the pinata to a tree, toss the loose end of the rope over a tree branch.
An adult holds the loose end of the rope. As the child takes a swipe at the pinata, the adult pulls and releases the rope causing the pinata to move up and down. This makes the event a little more challanging and helps increase the amount of children who have the chance of spilling the contents. Halloween Kids Games: Halloween Treasure HuntThe Halloween treasure hunt is perfect for a pirate themed costumes party, but even if your party isn't pirate themed, every kid loves a treasure hunt! Just like an Easter egg hunt, you'll want to hide the loot around the house, or in your yard if it's an outdoor party. Include plenty of candy and a variety of other trinkets. Costume jewelry, inexpensive dollar store toys, and chocolate gold coins are really fun items for the hunt.
Provide trick-or-treat bags for the children. A handmade treasure map can give clues to help children find the treasure, but for young children this hunt is just as fun without the map. Halloween Kids Games: Bean Bag TossThis is a fun Carnival Game that everyone loves at Halloween parties. Take a rectangular large box that has at least a 24 x 30" surface (or larger if possible). A shallow box no greater than 15 inches deep is preferable.On the bottom side of the box, cut four 8-inch circular holes. Take a magic marker and write the word "treat" around three of the circles. Around the fourth circle write the word, "trick". Provide the players with four small beanbags that will easy fit through the circular holes. After the four beanbags are tossed the next player gets a turn. Determine the distance from which the children will toss the beanbags according to their age. If the beanbags make it through the treat hole, the player receives candy or some other small treat. If the beanbag goes through the "trick" hole the player must perform a trick. Make a list of possible "tricks" for players to choose from such as: act like a chicken, do a cart-wheel, dance like a ballerina, bark like a dog, or have the player choose a trick he or she may already know how to do.
Halloween Kids Games: Candy Corn TossLooking for Halloween kids games where everyone's a winner? The Candy Corn Toss is sure to please. Divide players into teams or allow them to play individually. Provide a jack-o-lantern treat bucket for each team or player.Players should stand far enough from the treat bucket to make the game challenging but not too far away. Determine how far players will stand based on the age group playing. Provide each team with a large bag of candy corn. The object of the game is for players to toss the candy corn into the treat bucket. A time limit makes this game much more interesting. Yell out, "time's up" once the time limit has expired and count the candy corn in each bucket. The team or individual with the most candy corn wins. You can provide a special prize for this person, but everyone wins when it's time to eat the candy corn!
