Candy Corn Party Theme

Before you decide that the candy corn party theme is for kids, you may want to read on! Candy corn is a really great theme for an adult Halloween party. Sure, there'll be costumes, and all sorts of Halloween decorations that aren't candy corn, but when it comes to food, drinks, and adult Halloween party games, candy corn is sweet!

Not for the meek is the Candy Corn Necklace game. It's a candy corn-eating contest with a TRICK and a TREAT!

String several candy corn necklaces before the party. Simply thread a needle with strong thread; use doubled over thread. Push the needle through the corn onto the thread. It's really easy to do. Tie the stringed corn into a necklace.

At your Halloween party, ask friends to create teams of two for the corn-eating contest. One person in the coupled team wears the necklace and the other person on the team eats the necklace off his or her partner's neck. The first person to eat an entire necklace wins.

You can of course do this with regular candy necklaces if you're going for a Halloween candy theme.

Another popular Halloween party game with candy corn is to fill a jar with the candy corn, calculating exactly how many pieces of candy are in the jar. Have each guest guess how many are in the jar. The person who guesses closest to actual number of candy corn wins a prize (and the jar of candy corn).

There are lots of other ways to bring Candy Corn into your Halloween theme party.

Create a candy corn cocktail. With the popularity of exciting and sexy martinis, the candy corn martini is perfect for all Halloween party themes.

Create a standard pumpkin martini with 2 ounces of vodka, 1/2 ounce of pumpkin liqueur, and 1/2 ounce of Bailey's Irish Cream liquor. Place all the ingredients in a chilled cocktail shaker of ice. Shake and strain it into a martini glass.

Drop 3 or 4 candy corn into the bottom of the glass and garnish with a dollop of whipped cream. Delicious!

Bring candy corn into the Halloween party food. Decorate cupcakes with candy corn on top and if you use toothpicks for a cheese tray, press candy corn onto the ends of your toothpicks to tie the theme into every aspect of your food.

Zombie Party Theme

Of all the Halloween party themes, a zombie party is the easiest to pull off and it's tons of fun.

No matter what your guests will be for Halloween, if they come to a zombie party, they'll want to come as the dead version of their costume character. So if you are planning on being Elmo from Sesame Street, you'll want to come as zombie Elmo with a torn t-shirt over your costume and possibly a ball and chain around you ankle.

For the zombie party theme, guests should show how their character was killed (even if they come as an inanimate object). For instance if your costume is a banana, maybe you'll add teeth marks to it and zombie makeup for you face.

Doctors, sexy nurses, brides, monsters, cartoon characters, everyone will be dead for the night. So a little fake blood and the Halloween props will make even common costumes into masterpieces!

You'll want to serve food that zombies enjoy! So, zombie juice (or soda with zombie juice labels) is a great start. Make your party punch green with one or two drops of food coloring and put your punch bowl over dried ice (available at many Walmart stores). Dried ice will give off smoke as it evaporates into air; this is a great effect for the Zombie theme party.

Fog machines, graveyards, a few zombie hunters, strobe lights, and walls draped in black sheeting will do wonders for this fun and creepy Halloween party theme!
