Halloween Punch Recipes

Halloween punch recipes punch up the party! There are a few things that make of things that really make your punch stand out. Because several Halloween punch recipes call for fun items that you may not purchase everyday we've done the research on where to quickly find these items.

  1. Dry Ice What is dry ice? And, where do you buy dry ice? Dry ice is a solid form of carbon dioxide that keeps things cool. It turns to gas that creates a mysterious fog when it melts. This makes it perfect for Halloween punch recipes. It can be found at some Walmart store or click here to find retailers in your zip code.

  2. Ice Molds Ice molds and ice cubes in a punch bowl can be made into various shapes such as body parts, bones, bats, etc. We did a little research and found serveral fun products. This is a fun and inexpensive way to make a stiff drink!

    Another one of my favorite is this a very detailed Gelatin Brain Mold. I think this would look great in a sherbet punch or a lime green jello punch. Once you've made your ice mold, it can be reused for molding food! It comes with detailed instructions on how to do this.

  3. Drink Labels A spooky name makes the punch more fun. Write it out on a card and display the card by the punch bowl. You might also be interested in these amazing . Witches Brew

  • Champagne or sparkling wine (750ml bottle)
  • Sparkling pomegranate or raspberry juice (ginger ale can be substituted in a pinch) (750 bottle or 1/2 liter)
  • 3 ounces of vodka
  • 4 cups of Orange juice
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries (as garnish)

Mix all ingredients together. For a special Halloween effect, place your punch bowl in a larger bowl or platter of dry ice. This will keep the beverage cold the condensation from the punch bowl will react with the dry ice creating a theatrical smoky haze around the punch! Dry ice can be purchased from many Wal-Mart stores and some grocery stores; it's located in a freezers marked Dry Ice.
