Unique Printable Adult Halloween Scavenger Hunt
"It's Your Line" is a challenging, printable Halloween scavenger hunt for adults and for older teens. The game combines a "Mad Libs" style story with a scavenger hunt list. Players will only be given the list (not the "Mad Libs" style story). They'll need to find items that rhyme with the items on their list. Then they'll need to photograph each item. When players return to show off their photo finds, they'll be given the second part of the game, the Halloween story. They'll read the story, filling in the blanks with their finds and illustrating the story by showing the photos to the opposing team.
Cackling laughter awaits!
Scavenger Hunt List Ideas
Your Halloween scavenger hunt doesn't have to include only things you can carry. Simply think "Halloween" and write any of the ideas that pop into your head. You can put anything creepy or scare you like on your scavenger hunt list:
- a ghost
- a tombstone
- a pit of snakes
- tarantulas
- a bone
- Dracula
- blood
- a skull
- mice
- a coffin
- a zombie back from the dead
- fangs
Your scavenger hunt can be a photo hunt! Each team just brings a small digital camera or a camera phone and you're set.
Getting Creative With Halloween Scavenger Hunts
You can get even more creative and actually collect the items on the list. Obviously, the items don't have to be authentic. We don't want to encourage any grave robbers! Create a ghost costume out of a white sheet, take a picture, and you can check this item off your list. Or, capture a real ghost. Seal it in a jar and label the jar (since ghosts are invisible, I doubt anyone will dispute you). This is just one example of how creativity can make this Halloween party game a blast!
Halloween night, when everyone is "trick or treating" is a great time for a Halloween scavenger hunt. A weekend near Halloween when people are seen in funny costumes is also a fun time.
To play, divide into teams and give your Halloween scavenger hunt list to each team (or each member of the team). Set a time limit, say one hour, and send the players on their way. Everyone reconvenes at the party with items or photos in hand. The team with the most items wins.
Everyone will love seeing how creative the competing teams were. Afterwards, enjoy more Halloween party games, Halloween recipes and lots of laughs!
