Those of you who visit Themed-Party-Ideas.com often, know that everyone in my community is responsible for one major holiday party. Halloween is certainly a major holiday in this close-knit neighborhood.

Ages 21 to 80 (that's right, I said "80") gather at Robert's haunted house block party every year.

One year his Halloween party decorations were made quite easy by the fact that he was doing a major remodel of his 100 year old home and all of the walls were torn down to the studs! So, it truly looked like a haunted house. Scroll down to see guests playing games in his haunted house.

Not willing to tear out all of his walls the following year (!), he looked for a way to match the previous year's outstanding haunted house ideas.

Instead of sending out paper invitations, he had a custom tombstone engraved with the party invitation and date written on it. This tombstone sat among others in a new graveyard on his front lawn.

Personalized grave stones can be purchased for as little as $10. Or if you want the type you use every year, they're about $20. These stood for a month before the party. It was an invitation no one on the block passed up!

Animatronics make the best haunted house ideas because they add an element of surprise. Add an inexpensive Fog Machine and you're set!

Robert, like most of us, is a busy guy. So he didn't have time to build a haunted house from scratch. Instead he purchased a pop-up entrace to the haunted house which was incredible!

We've found one similar to his. I was shocked (in a good way) at how much haunted house you can get for little money. (It's much cheaper than tearing out walls!)

Your haunted house ideas should just involve the inside. "Decorate" (or booby trap) the outside and entrance too. Greet your guests with the Animated Rise From the Grave Grim Reaper and be sure to have plenty of rats and spiders on your walls and stairs. And if you really want to do it right, incorporate your decorations into your Halloween party snacks. That's right, serve dirty rat cupcakes or bloody cheese fingers!

Incorporating great haunted house decorations into every detail is something Robert is really good at. And there's one thing that makes his party unique.

It's the ice luge. Everyone, regardless of mature age, finds the Halloween ice luge to be fascinating. The ice sculpture seems to get bigger and more eleborate every year, and I had to wonder where in the world one gets such an item.

He has his professionally made, and last year it took 5 men to lift the chilling Frankenstein to his final resting place. I've heard it's quite a mess the next morning!

You can create a similarly fun idea and avoid the messy clean up! Make an alcoholic halloween punch and fill it with these "chilling" bone-shaped ice cubes. These ice cube trays are so cool!

You can also create incredible shot glasses out of ice. Start freezing your shot glasses a few days before so you can create several. Use them, then let them melt away. Now that's one way to hide the evidence of a howling party!
