But what's the easiest way to get party conversation started? Just set out conversation starter cards like the ones we have that you can print.
Here's What You'll Get:
Our funny conversation starter questions encourage light topics, perfect for parties. You'll find interesting conversation starters questions like, "The love of your life clucks like a chicken everytime he/she gets excited. Is it a deal breaker?" and "If you could do anything you wanted without any consequences, what would it be?"
You can print "Party Talk" conversation cards on Avery 5371 or Avery 8371 business card stock Of course, it also very easy to print them on plain cardstock paper and cut them out using a paper cutter or scissors.
Good Conversation Tactics For a PartyWe all know what not to talk about at a party: politics, religion, and health problems are usually best avoided. But what are some good conversation topics? And, how do you break the ice? There's actually a little formula for good conversation topics that works like a charm. If you're going to a party where you'll know few people, it's a good idea to be prepared with a few ice breaker questions or interesting conversation starters. Keep your ice breakers generic at first. Make a comment about the party (i.e. the decorations, the food, etc.) followed by a quesiton. Here's an example of how it works: "Tom sure throws a fun party. How do know Tom?" Or for a fundraiser or company party, "How are you connected with the group?" The best way to strike up a conversation is to listen, and follow with another question. A good listener is the mark of someone who masters the art of conversation. Using our example the guest might answer, "Tom and I went to college together." You reply with another question, "Oh, where did you go to college?" If you know nothing about the college, no problem. Make another comment, followed by a question until the conversation develops. For example: "Oh, you went to school in Texas. I've never been to Texas, are you from there?" Almost anything can be a good conversation topic if you remember the old adage, "An interested person is an interesting person."
