Send "suspects" their character information ahead of time.

The party begins with an introduction, setting the scene, describing the crime and introducing the suspects. All of this is part of the mystery script you download.
Depending on the type of game you have chosen (ie: interactive or turn-based) the players will either be unleashed on one another to interrogate for clues (Interactive mystery game) or instructed when to reveal their information to the group en masse (turn-based mystery game).
