Fish Taco Recipe
- 1 pound flaky white fish such as tilapia
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/4 cup cilantro
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ancho chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 soft taco shells
Top these taco with these traditional fish taco toppings:
- Spicy sour cream; mix 1 cup sour cream with 1/2 of the homemade taco
- Seasoning packet recipe
- Shredded white cabbage
- Chopped cilantro
- Tomato salsa
Mix dry spices, lime juice, and cilantro in a small bowl and pour over
the fish. Allow the fish the marinate for about 15 minutes.
Heat the oil in a cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Pan fry
the fish for about 5 minutes, turning once after three or four minutes
and continue to cook until done. Fish should easily flake apart when
it's ready.
Flake the fish apart using a fork and serve in soft taco shells with
the toppings listed above.
