Straight Flush
Five cards of the same suit in sequence.
For example, the highest straight flush is A, K, Q, J, 10 and the lowest is 5, 4, 3, 2, A.
A straight flush beats all other hands.
Four of a Kind
Four cards of the same rank. Four kings, for example. Four of a kind beats all
hands except a straight flush.
Full House
Three cards of one rank and two of another. Three 10s and 2 Queens, for
example.
Flush
Five cards of the same suit.
Example: A, K, 4, 3, 2 of hearts beats a flush of Q, 10, 9, 7, 6.
Straight
Five cards in ranking in consecutive order. They can belong to two or more suits.
Example: A, K, Q, J, 10 belonging to clubs, hearts and spades.
Three of a Kind
Three cards of the same rank.
Example: Three 10s.
Two Pairs
Two cards of one rank and two cards of another rank.
Example: two queens and two 7s.
One Pair
Two cards of the same rank.
Example: Two Kings.
High Card
Single Card of the Highest rank. When no player has a pair or better. The highest
ranking card wins.
