Snow White Party Theme for Adults

A Snow White party theme for adults seems like a strange theme for an adult birthday party, but it was one of the most creative parties I've been to.

The party was at the birthday girl's home. Her friends worked all day to set it up while she was at work and her mother took her for drinks after work so that she wouldn't arrive until about 7pm.

The Snow White theme worked really well for the birthday girl since her last name is "White" and her middle name is "Snow" - her parents obviously had a sense of humor.

This is really true; life is stranger than fiction: Bethany Snow White is really her name.

But, that being said, this party was very elegant. This party idea would be beautiful for a winter themed party, or if you were trying to create a fantasy feel for a birthday party.

White helium balloons covered the ceiling. From the balloons hung lightweight silver ribbons and attached to the end of each ribbon was a very delicate snowflake made of of white tissue paper.

It was as if it was snowing inside! Each snowflake was hand made by her friends. Some of the snowflakes included tiny signatures of those who made them; it was a very personal touch.

Snow White and the Seven dwarfs figurines adorned the dessert table which featured a three-tiered chocolate fountain. Marshmallows, cake and fruit were provided to be used in the chocolate fountain.

Snow White and the dwarfs figurines were posed to hold marshmallows and strawberries. It looked as if the figurines were trying to reach the chocolate fountain ... it was really cute!

A Snow White ice sculpture was the feature of the buffet table. It was a small ice sculpture that was made by purchasing a mold from a party supply store, filling the mold with water, and placing it freezer.

A very small spot light was placed on the table that highlighted the sculpture. Several white table clothes were bunched and gathered on top of the table to create a billowy effect and to hide the cord of the spot light. The white table clothes added to the Snow White theme.

Platters of food were placed on the billowed table clothes which made the food seem more interesting as opposed to the "floating" effect that sometimes happens when food platters are placed on a flat table clothe.

The Snow White theme was a big hit. Bethany loved it, and it was a memorable theme for the guests!
