Spinach Dip Recipe

This creamy spinach dip recipe is a perfect part of summer party food, football party food, holidays and potlucks.

Serve with other easy dip recipes to create a dip buffet or serve as a complement to other easy picnic recipes.

Spinach Dip

• 1 package frozen spinach
• 1 cup real mayonnaise
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 package onion soup mix
• 1 can (8 ounces) water chestnuts, drained and chopped
• 2 medium green onion, chopped
• 1 round uncut loaf of bread (optional)

Squeeze water out of spinach and drain well. Pat dry with paper towels.

Mix spinach, mayonnaise, sour cream, onion soup mix and water chestnuts well. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours for the soup mix to soften and flavors to mix.

Make a bowl out of the bread by cutting the top off and hollowing it out, leaving an inch or two for the walls of the bowl. Serve dip in the hollowed bread bowl.
