Taco Seasoning Mix Recipe

You'll love this taco seasoning mix recipe. This recipe is very close to what you'll find in taco seasoning packages and very different from many homemade taco seasonings that rely on chili powder.

Make a double or triple batch and store it in a tightly sealed container so that you can quickly whip up tacos any night of the week.

This recipe can be spicy, so it's recommended that you add the cayenne pepper last. Start with 1/4 teaspoon and continue to add until the heat level reaches your desired taste. This recipe is a perfect compliment to our many taco recipes, especially the beef tacos and vegetarian tacos!

Taco Seasoning Recipe

• 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon paprika
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/2 teaspoon sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon thyme
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Place all spices in a tightly sealed container and shake well. This taco seasoning recipe is equal to one store purchased seasoning packet.
