What is JenCyn Enterprises?
JenCyn Enterprises LLC was created 30 years ago by two sisters in need of a name for their emerging mud pie business. Not tasty chocolate mud pies, no ... real mud pies. As children often do, they created a "play business" making everything from jewelry out of sea shells to floral arrangements from dandelions.
Jennifer and Cindy (Cynthia) were destined to be business partners. They made a pact to work together when they grew up, and they named their future business JenCyn Enterprises, a marriage of their two first names.
Though they've both traveled and lived far apart all of their adult lives, thanks to the internet, they're once again making mud pies together - the chocolaty kind! - and sharing how to do it along with tons of other party ideas, recipes, and family fun via the world wide web.
JenCyn Enterprises, LLC is the parent company of www.themed-party-ideas.com as well as several emerging websites. We are dedicated to providing quality web-based content and products that enrich the lives of our visitors.
Jennifer Scheffel, Hostess
Her work has been featured in VOW Bridal magazine, the Dallas Morning News and various other media outlets.
Her party planning expertise has been sought by corporate and non-profit organizations, but her passion is in private home parties.
She is currently working as the cofounder of Themed-Party-Ideas.com and as a personal style and party ideas consultant. Her clients value her expert advice on entertaining with ease, impeccable panache and flawless flare.
Jennifer now resides in an urban neighborhood in Norfolk, Virginia. She admires the changing seasons that make celebrations a natural course of the year. She is inspired by her cohesive historic community that comes together regularly to share challenges, labor, memories.

Cynthia VanBibber, Producer
She has produced documentaries, instructional and promotional videos, and commercials. In addition to web development and design, she continues to work as a video producer.
Her documentary, Headwaters: the School away from Home, won election in the Hot Springs Film Festival in 2005; it was syndicated by AETN. She produced for a Springdale, Arkansas, Spanish daily show, Cerca de Ti, hosted by Margarita Felix.
Cynthia is an avid community volunteer and activist. Her passions include "slow food," supporting local agriculture, and the arts.
She is cofounder of Themed-Party-Ideas.com, serving as staff editor, graphic designer and webmaster.
Cheryl Kirkness, Guest Writer
She has traded in that hardhat and safety gear for a diaper bag, and she’s loving every minute of it! Her fulltime job is now being a mommy to a sweet little boy.
Cheryl has always had a strong interest in party and event planning. She’s the first to jump at the chance to plan friends’ engagement parties, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays … any special event worth celebrating!
She believes in the power of kindness. She volunteers with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and at her local youth centre, helping with their events and celebrations.
Cheryl is also the creator and writer for Moms & Munchkins, a blog full of ideas for play dates, family fun, moms night in and moms night out events. You’ll also find her articles on urbanmoms.ca, yummymummyclub.ca and Oh Baby! Magazine.
