Toy Story Party Invitations
If you’re the crafty type, creating your own Toy Story party invitations is lots of fun!One of the main characters in Toy Story is "Woody", a cowboy doll who sports a brown hat. Use brown cardstock paper to create a cowboy hat invitation. This could be a card style of invitation with the party details written inside. Be sure to include the birthday child’s name, date, time, address of party and RSVP details.
For invitation wording, print:

Toy Story birthday party for
{Child’s Name}.
We hope you’re ready to party

Toy Story Party Decorations
One of the great things about having a Toy Story party is that there are so many ways to easily decorate with toys you may already have around your home. For table decor, you can use a variety of different types of toys that were featured in the Toy Story movies. The Toy Story movies features:
- Woody (pull-string cowboy)
- Buzz Lightyear (Space Ranger action figure)
- Barbie and Ken
- Barrel Of Monkeys (red monkeys in a yellow barrel)
- Slinky Dog
- Mr. Potato Head (moody and sarcastic - but funny!)
- ...and plastic toy soldiers (like Sarge and The Bucket O’ Soldiers).
Place toys around the party area and on tables. They make easy Toy Story party decorations and also double as entertainment for the kids.
A Toy Story piñata is another great decoration as well as a fun addition to your Toy Story games.
There are also many free Toy Story coloring pages online that you can print to create your own party posters. This is a great craft for your child to help you with prior to the party.
The Toy Story logo is red, yellow and blue so you could incorporate these colors into table linens, dinnerware and balloons.
Toy Story Themed Party Food
Children familiar with Toy Story 3 will recall when Mr. Potato Head’s parts became a bit scrambled and attached themselves to a tortilla creating Mr. Tortilla Head. This would be a great idea for Toy Story party food! You could create quesadillas and add faces to the top of the quesadilla using food ingredients like sour cream, black olives and red pepper strips. You could serve the Mr. Tortilla Heads with fries called Mrs. Potato Head fries.
In honor of the poor mutant toys hiding in Sid’s closet (Sid is the neighbor boy who tortures toys), you could create a punch with a sign labeling it "Mutant Juice".
Toy Story Birthday Party Dessert
A fun cupcake idea for a Toy Story themed birthday party is to create Green Aliens and Hamm cupcakes.
Decorate half of the cupcakes as Hamm (the wise cracking piggy bank) and the other half of the cupcakes as little green aliens (Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head’s adopted boys).
For green alien cupcakes, ice the cupcake green, add 3 candy icing eyes and a line of black decorating gel for the mouth. A string of green licorice works great for his antenna. Green chocolate baking wafers cut into diamond shapes can be ears on the sides of the cupcakes.
For Hamm cupcakes, ice the cupcake pink, add on two eyes and two eyebrows using black decorating gel. Then, cut pink chocolate baking wafers into halves for the ears. A pink marshmallow or a round pink candy tart makes a great piggy nose. Just add two black dots for nostrils and you’ve got an adorable and delishious treat.
Not feeling up to decorating cupcakes? No problem! There are plenty of Toy Story cupcake toppers or Toy Story themed cake pans to choose from. You can even use plain cupcakes and put them on a Toy Story cupcake stand to make decorating very simple.
