Ugly Sweater PartyThe Ugly Sweater Party is a creative Christmas party idea shared by Crystal of Madison, WI.
My Big Fat Ugly Sweater Party Categories:Party Rules:For entrance into the ugly sweater party you must wear an ugly sweater or make a donation and the donations go to a local charity. Guests have to wear antlers (can be found at the local dollar store or Wal-mart). Prizes are given to the ugliest sweater. Everyone must wear a name tag because I have friends from many different groups and I am not a fan of introducing people all night.

Invitations:
Like our Facebook page for updates on new contest opportunities. I always make an invitation and mail it out. I make them very formal so that people get excited about coming. I also make an event on evite and email it to give everyone two forms of the invite in case the one gets lost. A great thing about evite is you are able to send a reminder a week ahead of time. Yankee Gift Exchange: Everyone has to bring a gift that is under $5 or re-gift a gift they didn't like from last year. Names are drawn from a hat for the order in which people get to pick a present. If the person opening the gift wants a gift that is already been opened they can steal it. Food: I typically have a huge spread of food for our party. Hors d'oeuvres Pickled Ham Raps: This recipe includes pickles, cream cheese, deli slices ham and tortillas. Take the pickle and rap it with a slice of ham. Next take the tortilla and spread cream cheese all over it. Then put pickle and ham in tortilla and roll it up. Lastly, slice the roll into a tasty little finger food for you guests. Hormel Chili Dip: Put a can of Hormel chili without beans into a small crock pot and Velveeta cheese to taste and heat until cheese is melted. Enjoy this dip with Fritos. Main Courses:
Buck eyes are a family recipe (as far as I know). Take two jars of peanut butter (creamy or crunchy) put in a big bowl. Add powered sugar until the peanut butter is consistency to ball. Ball the peanut butter (about the size of a bouncy ball) and dip into melted chocolate and set on wax paper to dry. The last details include: Hiring my friend that is a flare bartender to bartend at the party and another one of my friends to DJ. This party ROCKS!!!!!!!!
Editor's NoteThe photos say it all - the ugly sweater party is a fun Christmas party theme!Crystal has some great Christmas party ideas. The idea of sending an evite and an handmade invitation is one that's really ingenious during such a hectic time of year. Holiday invitations can get misplaced and having a evite reminder a week in advance is the perfect solution. If you've never played the Yankee Gift Exchange Game, you'll want to try it at your next Christmas party. The rules for the gift exchange are just like that of the White Elephant Gift Exchange game. For complete details visit the White Elephant Gift Exchange page. And if you love Christmas like we do, visit the Christmas party games and ideas page for great ideas for even more holiday fun.
